To be perfectly honest, I think this looks kind of bad ass. I'd get all the moving parts in pristine condition and drive it as is. You can't fake a patina like that.

I know a bronze artist who could fake any patina you can think of.

The only think under that skin is rust and despair...I've seen too many cars like that where there's almost nothing worth saving.

Actual moss, no, but he can make a damn convincing moss look. I've seen him make Bronze look like stone.

That's awesome! Do you have a link with some pictures of his work? I love seeing how close people can get with artificial aging processes.

His patinas are sort of what distinguishes his sculptures. They look incredible in-person.

The two bears here are his. My mom has just perhaps had too much of that beer.

Edit- I should add that his are much more oriented towards creating unusual surface patterns using chemicals rather than artificially-aging the material. I'd be willing to be he could still do it, though. He could put most chemistry professors to shame when it comes to these reactions.
